MOTHER NATURE PRESENTS COQ10 AS TWO COMPOUNDS. Scientists call them Ubiquinone and Ubiquinol. I represent the later as 'high octane jet fuel.' Scientists represent Ubiquinol as a powerhouse for our heart, liver, and kidneys; and a proficient antioxidant.
The antioxidant hallmark is because of the presence of spare electrons that Ubiquinol donates to Free Radicals. In doing so, Ubiquinol prevents Free Radicals from stealing an electron from healthy cells and oxidize them. When Free Radicals steal an electron from healthy cells the Aging Process accelerates.
All of the above is what scientists tell us, but as I Fork & Slice their knowledge, I deciphered that there is a critical issue to comprehend. Around our 20s, we enjoy a healthy blood concentration of CoQ10; and also, 100% of CoQ10 ingested through food or supplements becomes Ubiquinol; but in our 30s approaching 40s, just over half of ingested CoQ10 becomes Ubiquinol. Approaching our 60s and 70s, the difficulty our body has to convert CoQ10 into Ubiquinol is more severe reaching around 30% in our 80s.
It means that during our 30s our heart, liver, and kidneys are
left with not much 'high octane jet fuel' to keep fighting for
health and longevity on our behalf.
It is then easy to conclude that people in their 20s may ingest either CoQ10 or Ubiquinol, but as we grow older, Ubiquinol is the only option. People who consumed a diet poor in CoQ10 throughout their lives may consider taking a robust 300 mg of Ubiquinol two to four times a week starting in their 30s. However, people that take medications ~or they are affected by a known health condition~ must consult with their doctor before supplementing.
another marvel > Like all nutrients created by Mother Nature there is one of great value to us and our pets. It has a weird-sounding name: Pyrroloquinoline Quinone. Fortunately, it is also known as PQQ.
PQQ was discovered in 1964. The FDA approved it in 2012 and considers PQQ as 'Generally Regarded As Safe' or GRAS. PQQ has also been approved by the 'Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare' of Japan. The 'Mitsubishi Gas Chemical Company' of Japan has a patented-form of PQQ that they call 'BioPQQ.' That company explains that it is manufactured through a complex process of bacterial fermentation rendering a highly beneficial PQQ.
western scientists at work > Recently, PQQ called their undivided attention when they discovered that ~possibly~ PQQ significantly enhances Ubiquinol.
Scientists are aware that ~when combined~ nutrients do a much better job than if they work independent from one another. What keeps Scientists very busy is that preliminary tests lead to rightfully deduce that CoQ10 and PQQ significantly augment their potency resulting in much better health benefits.
Approaching the end of 2024, the Jury is still deliberating. Let's see what they tell us when they come out from behind closed doors.
